Today, I’d like to introduce Muratacho’s MU-TECH.
It is the collective name for original textiles produced by the textile trading company Muratacho.
They offer many functional textiles, and have a track record of being used by many manufacturers and high-end brands.
The products introduced here are multi-layer functional textiles, but in my impression, fabrics like these with high functionality are generally made-to-order with minimum lots.
For MU-TECH, Muratacho also carries inventory risk, so cut orders are available.
We hope small-scale apparel manufacturers will also make use of these high-function textiles.
Now, let’s get started.
This is a 3-layer product packed with functionality. By using a special polyurethane film in the middle layer, it achieves high water resistance, high moisture permeability, and wind resistance.
It reportedly has a water pressure resistance level of 20,000 mm, and since 10,000 mm is said to withstand heavy rain, 20,000 mm—double that—is a serious outdoor spec that can handle a storm.
It may be a little hard to see, but the surface has a light fuzz, giving it a luxurious feel. The peach-skin-like texture when touched is very pleasant.
The matte look gives it a modern feel.
It also comes in 11 color variations, which is impressive. The color palette also includes many calm tones, making it a great choice for modern outdoor wear.
This is also a high-function textile with a water pressure resistance level of 20,000 mm.
It is similar to the M-11000TL, but this one uses fully dull thread instead of fuzz.
Fully dull thread has little sheen and a matte look, so it reduces the sporty (?) shine that is typical of nylon textiles.
