In 2020, when the effects of the novel coronavirus began to emerge, various materials were used as masks.

Now masks are readily available on the market, and it feels almost unbelievable that there was once a scramble to get them.

Vaccinations have started, but I think many people are still concerned about contact with others.

Today, we would like to introduce antiviral textile, an item meant to help “take back life and everyday normalcy” in such times.

What is FLUTECT (FLUTECT) processing?

It mainly has the following functions.

1. Reduces the number of specific viruses on the fiber surface
2. Effect lasts even after repeated washing
3. Safety (oral toxicity and skin irritation have been confirmed)

It is effective not only against the novel coronavirus, but also against enveloped viruses such as influenza viruses.

Introduction to FLUTECT-processed textiles

This time, we are introducing two product numbers.

・FT4545, a standard TC broadcloth with FLUTECT processing

・F2010, a medium-weight twill textile with FLUTECT processing

First, the broadcloth.

Broadcloth is a TC textile, meaning polyester-cotton, so it has the feel of cotton while also having the strength of polyester.

Although it is thin, it can be used for summer pocket lining (pocket lining) and shirts.

Because it is plain-woven and thin, the light colors (KW, OW, 4 saxe) are somewhat see-through.

On the other hand, the twill is part of the Fujikinbai brand, which mainly focuses on canvas, so it can be used for applications that help keep bag interiors clean.

There is also a wide variety of colors, so you are sure to find one that matches.

It feels just right—not too thick, not too thin.

It still seems like it will take time for things to settle down in Japan, but I hope we can regain “everyday normalcy” soon.
