This time, I’d like to introduce fabrics from Oharayaseni that are now available for purchase on ApparelX.

The head office is a fabric manufacturer in Osaka.
With a focus on Made in Japan quality, they plan and manufacture mainly natural-material textiles such as linen and wool, making use of the characteristics of regions across Japan.
For original textiles, they mainly produce fabrics that take advantage of the characteristics of each production area in Japan, including Omi and Hamamatsu, which specialize in linen weaving; Mitsuke, with a long history as a yarn-dyed production area; and Bishu, famous for wool fabrics. They also sell from stock, so small-lot purchases are possible.
When I visited their exhibition in Tokyo, there were many young sales staff, and I felt a lot of energy.
They also had hip-hop playing as background music, so it had a very different atmosphere from the exhibitions I usually attend, which was very enjoyable.
Many manufacturers handle cotton and synthetic fabrics, but I don’t often find manufacturers that stock such a wide variety of linen and, in particular, wool materials.
Also, the color variations and texture of the fabrics all felt trendy, and I was impressed by their high level of sensitivity to trends.
Compared with cotton and synthetic materials, linen and wool are relatively expensive, so some of them are a little pricey, but I think they are fabrics well worth it.
I will introduce some of the fabrics.
The raw linen is French Linen, known as a high-quality linen, and this is “Japan Linen,” with weaving and finishing all carried out in Japan.
Its feature is that after dyeing, the fabric is gently beaten and loosened, giving it a soft, fluffy, washed texture with a wrinkled finish.
As you can see from the images, it has a firm body, but when touched, it has a soft texture.

This is an environmentally conscious textile using 60/1 linen for the warp and 10/1 recycled wool for the weft.
Recycled wool itself has been produced in the Bishu region for as long as 100 years, reusing cotton waste generated during the spinning of wool yarn.
In recent years, it has gained attention as an environmentally friendly, circular material.
By combining it with linen, we have created a textile that lets you enjoy the rustic feel and memory effect unique to linen.
We use a blended yarn of recycled wool and silk for the warp, and by applying tumbler processing in Bishu to this textile, which pairs the silky, moist touch of silk with environmentally friendly recycled wool, we finished it with a natural atmosphere.
A herringbone made in Bishu using British-style wool, suited to traditional styles. By applying aero processing, it has a soft, fluffy finish. Ideal for jackets and more.
We created a traditional check linen that looks like something a British gentleman would wear over his shoulders. The heathered appearance of the linen top yarn gives it a sense of depth. This is a linen twill fabric made in Japan and finished softly. Recommended applications include classic jackets, shirts, and sets.
