Organic cotton has lower production efficiency than conventional cultivation methods, but by reducing the use of pesticides, it helps reduce health risks for producers and lessen environmental impact.

Right now, the most representative sustainable materials are probably those made with recycled materials.
Typical examples include materials made by reusing PET bottles and recycled wool made by breaking wool products down into smaller pieces and reusing them.

Although not a new technology, regenerated fibers are also gaining attention as environmentally friendly materials.
In particular, lyocell (TENCEL™) is a regenerated fiber made from wood pulp. Because the fiber cross-section is round, it has high strength and shows little shrinkage or loss of strength when wet.
In addition, because the solvent is recovered and reused, waste liquid is not released into the environment, making it an ecological fiber that is kind to the planet.
