Mr. Miller, the handsome guy.

Do you all know this character? 

He is Mr. Mike Miller!

Most Japanese people may not know Mr. Miller, but among foreigners studying Japanese, I think everyone knows him.

Actually, Mr. Miller is the main character in Minna no Nihongo!

After joining the company, I enrolled in a business Japanese class. I was taught not only keigo, but also how to behave appropriately in many real-life situations. 

Saying goodbye to Mr. Miller and hello again to Mr. Alex.

I had spoken like Mr. Alex many times, but before taking this class, I had no idea what I was doing that was rude.

However, all of my colleagues were kind and understanding, so I am very grateful.

The number of people learning foreign languages is increasing. For me, I study not only Japanese but also English. Sometimes there are terms and phrases in English that would never be said in Japanese or Vietnamese. Due to cultural differences, something may not be a problem in one country, but in another it is very rude. I think learning about culture is important in order to speak and understand a language completely.

The world is becoming more and more diverse, and as we gain more knowledge of other cultures and languages, our perspective becomes broader too.
