I went to PROJECT TOKYO

Yesterday and today (9/25.26) I went to PROJECT TOKYO being held at Shibuya Hikarie.

There were so many brands lined up in rows that it was worth seeing.

Many of the items had avant-garde designs, and I found them all very appealing.

There are recycled products and materials made from recycled fibers, and I think we are living in an ECO era.

This time, I went to PROJECT TOKYO to see if there were any designs using secondary materials.

I also found something that uses zipper and buckles as a design.

For example, there were bags that had the zipper function removed and were only sewn on as a design, and bags with a large buckle in the center that made an impact.

On the other hand, there were also designs that took advantage of the functionality of the zipper , such as opening the zipper to remove everything else from the sole, allowing you to switch from sandals to sneakers.

I realized once again that there are so many ways to use secondary materials that have good design and functionality.

Overall, most of the items were made with natural materials and had a rough design.

In addition, I get the impression that there were many pieces that were gathered together to create movement, and pieces that were deformed by adding elastic band here and there.

Among the leather products, there are bags that use the shape of the edges of the leather as is, and I thought it was an elaborate design that could only be produced in small batches.

There were a lot of brands coming from overseas, and there were a lot of people, and it was very lively.

It was great because I was able to see a lot of designs and learned a lot.
