I went to AFF (Asian Fashion Fair), which was held for three days from September 25th, 26th, and 27th.
AFF is an exhibition of Chinese textile and apparel products, with apparel, materials, clothing accessories, and accessory materials lined up.
This time, I went looking for textile and accessory materials to sell at ApparelX .
The booths for materials and auxiliary materials accounted for less than 10% of the total, but there were many types of fabrics lined up.
I had the impression that purchasing from overseas would be difficult, but I learned that it is possible to complete the transaction within Japan.
What's more, there were plenty of samples available, and I was able to touch and select most of the textile, so we both felt positive about doing business with them.
Considering that products and fabrics made in Asia will be distributed to Japan through this exhibition, I thought it would be a venue with many opportunities.
Up until now, I had only seen textile at general cloth stores, and I had seen textile that were more expensive per unit, but at this exhibition, I would like to introduce fabrics that are used for mass production. I learned a lot because I was able to see many types of textile that I had never seen before.
I realized that I need to acquire a lot of knowledge about fabrics so that I can find textile and secondary materials for occasions like this.
