Hello.
Today, I went to the "High Quality Yamagata Fair" being held at Shibuya Scramble Square.
There were many delicious products produced and manufactured in Yamagata!
This time, Seibun Textile, Sato Seni, and others were exhibiting, so I went to hear their stories.
I don't usually get the chance to hear stories from people from the production area, so it was refreshing.
Aobun Textile is a weaving shop that weaves and knits patterns that are very colorful and fun to look at.
It's rare to have both a loom and a knitting machine.
Originally, they only produced textile, but now they also design and manufacture products such as mufflers and scarf, which are specially knitted from cotton and wool.
At this exhibition, scarves and scarf are displayed.
Due to the use of cotton, the product retains warmth and has a smooth texture.
The tag includes
"Made in YONEZAWA"
It says, you can feel the love for the local area.
Yonezawa textile are known for their unique and fun patterns and colors.
Sato Seni seems to be engaged in an integrated process, starting from thread to developing an apparel brand.
We offer a wide range of products, from knitted products made with colorful and unique wool to woven products made with custom-made textile.
It was a brand that I had seen before, so I wonder how it was made! I was impressed when I learned that.
I was only aware that Yamagata was famous for textile, but I learned that they also produce bright and pop textile and products.
It made me want to know more about different production areas!
