It's been about 3 months since I joined the company.
For the past three months, I've been working mainly on computers, but since last Wednesday I've been at the warehouse sorting out items.
This is to gain product knowledge and to understand the flow of ordering at ApparelX.
First, we were told which inventory items were on which shelves, and what products they had in stock.
Some of them I used to watch a lot when I was a student, and some of them were like, “What is this?” There were some things I thought.
I realized once again that there are things that are necessary for clothing that is made as a product, even if they are not needed for clothing that is made by individuals.
The ribbons often attached to the left and right sides of the waist of a skirt are to make it easier to hang it on a hanger.
In fact, I don't even think about making a skirt myself, because I don't need it at all to get dressed.
However, this is not the case with products, so I realized that I needed more accessories than when making clothes as a hobby.
There were a lot of materials that I didn't know what they would be used for, but I was taught each one one by one.
When I think of the clothes I usually wear, ah! by the way! There were a lot of things like that, and it was interesting.
I was nervous at first because it was my first time, but now I'm really enjoying it. However, if I made a mistake at the stage of counting the number of products or searching for a product, the customer would receive the wrong product, so I thought it was a very responsible job.
I want to quickly learn the types of products and where they are located so that I can work smoothly.
I'm interested in what it's used for and how to use it properly, so I'd like to learn more about that as well!
