I visited the ogawamineLAB textile exhibition!

On October 8, I visited Ogawamine Co., Ltd.’s textile exhibition.

Unlike other exhibitions I’ve been to, the interior was carefully designed down to how the displays were arranged.

And because every display featured special textiles, everything was unfamiliar to me.

Since the textiles themselves had design appeal, I thought it would be fun to imagine turning them into clothing.

There were many special textiles on display, making it a very worthwhile exhibit.

The textile in the photo above was displayed to sway in the wind, with an extremely thin and soft texture, and it was very beautiful.

Many textiles were hanging long from the ceiling.

All of them were luxurious and seemed like they would stand out well on stage.

There were also many other highly decorative special textiles lined up.

They were all types of fabric I don’t usually handle, so I kept thinking, “I see!”

I heard they are mainly used for stage costumes and performance costumes, and from now on, whenever I have the chance to watch a play or other stage performance, I want to pay attention to the costumes as well.
