This is Hirama!
I visited Morito Apparel’s exhibition last Wednesday.
There were many beautiful pearl buttons and new tapes, and it was very enjoyable.
One of the tapes is called Block Tapey. It had a bouncy texture, which was unusual.
When I got home that day and was using LinkedIn, Morito Europe (Morito Europe Apparel Dept.) had posted a post about Block Tapey.
I read the explanation in English as well, and I think I understood it a little better.
(I think this is a social media platform that is not used much in Japan, but it is widely used overseas, so if you want to network with employees at overseas makers or brands, please try using LinkedIn.)
The product I thought was the best was NYGUARD’s 100% biodegradable Amni Soul Eco zipper. Apparently, even if it is thrown away as waste, it biodegrades within five years.
It was great to see this on display, since not only recycled polyester but also sustainable materials that remain sustainable after disposal are the best.
