Once the goods are prepared, ApparelX will ship them via a shipping company.
Tax Information
Orders shipped within Japan are subject to a 10% Japanese consumption tax in accordance with applicable regulations. Orders shipped to international addresses are exempt from Japanese consumption tax (10% VAT).
International shipments are shipped with DAP incoterm and may be subject to import duties, customs duties, value-added tax (VAT) (including EU import VAT where applicable), and/or customs clearance or handling fees upon arrival in the destination country. These charges are assessed by the customs authorities of the importing country.In many cases, the appointed carrier (e.g., DHL, SF Express, or other logistics providers) may advance these charges on behalf of the recipient and subsequently issue a separate invoice for reimbursement, which may include an administrative or clearance fee.Such duties, taxes, and fees are not included in ApparelX product prices or shipping fees. The recipient is solely responsible for payment of all applicable import-related charges. ApparelX does not have control over these amounts and cannot estimate them in advance.
All commercial invoices issued by ApparelX will reflect the accurate and full value of the goods shipped. Declared values cannot be modified, reduced, or adjusted under any circumstances.
To avoid unexpected costs, we recommend that customers consult their local customs office or tax authority prior to placing an order.
Return and Exchange Policy
Return and Exchange Policy
- Defective or Incorrect Items: Customers may request a refund within 14 days of the parcel's arrival, as confirmed by courier tracking information. ApparelX does not accept claims made more than 14 days after purchase for domestic shipments or more than 14 days after the parcel’s arrival for international shipments.
- Returns/Exchanges Based on Customer Requests: ApparelX’s items are custom-ordered, and cut items are non-refundable upon customer requests. ApparelX recommends purchasing a sample card before placing an order.
- If ApparelX accepts a return/exchange for subjective reasons, the customer is responsible for all return shipping, customs clearance (if applicable), and re-shipping fees.
Returns or exchanges will not be accepted for the following reasons:- The fabric quality does not meet the customer's expectations.
- Minor color variations between the product and sample book (due to dye lot variations).
- Fabric orders delivered in divided lengths (e.g., a 10m order split into 2m and 8m pieces).
- Scratches or stains within acceptable tolerance (Fabric Grade A).
- Fabric that has been sewn, processed, or cut.
- Minor variations in color or pattern in natural materials (e.g., buttons, buckles).
If customers have concerns or would like ApparelX to assess a product issue, please email detailed photos. Each case will be reviewed individually.Refund Method
- Full or Partial Refund: Refunds will be processed within 5 business days after the order is shipped, either via ApparelX Points or to the customer’s credit card. For returns due to customer request, a 5% credit card processing fee will be deducted from the refund.
- Returned Items: Refunds or exchanges will be processed within 5 business days after the returned goods are received.
Handling of Defective Products
- Order Fulfillment Error: If a product is defective due to an order fulfillment error by ApparelX, ApparelX will cover all costs for refunds or arranging replacement items.
- Sample/Fabric Cut Orders:
- If the customer does not wish to exchange the item, ApparelX will refund the full product and shipping cost.
- If the customer prefers an exchange, the replacement will be shipped with the next order. If no future orders are planned, ApparelX will ship via economy shipping. The customer may dispose of or keep the defective goods.
- Bulk Orders / Fabric by the Roll:
- If the customer does not wish to exchange the item, ApparelX will refund the full product and shipping cost.
- For exchanges, the replacement will be shipped with the next order, or via economy shipping if no future orders are planned.
- The defective goods may need to be returned for investigation.
- Damage During Delivery: If an item was damaged during delivery, customers should contact ApparelX immediately.
Undelivered Packages
- Incorrect Shipping Information or Courier Error: ApparelX is not responsible for missing packages due to incorrect shipping information or courier mistakes.
- If a package is returned to ApparelX because the courier cannot contact the recipient, the customer is responsible for the reshipping fee and any storage charges.
- If the courier disposes of the package due to inability to contact the recipient, the customer will be responsible for both the cost of rearranging new replacement products and reshipping
Order Cancellation Fee
- Cancellations at Customer’s Request: If an order is canceled at the customer’s request, a 5% cancellation fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
Product Images and Variations
- Product images may differ slightly from the actual product due to lighting conditions during photography and differences in display settings across devices.
Force Majeure
ApparelX shall not be liable for any failure or delay in fulfilling its obligations under this return and exchange policy due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor strikes, epidemics, or government actions. In such circumstances, ApparelX’s obligations will be suspended for the duration of the event. ApparelX will make reasonable efforts to resume operations as soon as possible.
