Hello, I’m Hirama from the Global Team. It’s gotten cooler in Tokyo too, and after a long, hot summer, it finally feels like autumn. Autumn in the U.S. is a season with many holidays, when people enjoy delicious food with family and friends. Fall outfits are also one of my favorites, and the appeal is that you can enjoy a variety of classic styles. In today’s blog, I’d like to introduce some common autumn styles in the U.S.
The check flannel shirt, which appears every year, is an essential autumn item. It is a woven fabric with a fluffy surface, and there are many different check patterns, but buffalo check is common. It’s worn when going to pumpkin patches and cornfields! It can also be worn for Thanksgiving dinner or when relaxing at home with hot chocolate.

A leather jacket is also an important part of autumn outfits. It keeps you warm even in cool weather while giving you a stylish, put-together look.
Oversized blazers are popular again every year, and they are often layered over sweaters and sweatshirts. They provide extra room to stay warm in the colder season.

During the transition from summer to fall, a versatile knit sweater is important. It’s not just something to wear; it’s also useful to carry over a shirt for when it gets cold, and to wear at an evening bonfire. Sweaters in light brown, gray, or black are very common.

We’ve introduced four key elements of autumn outfits, and of course there are also classic trench coats, combat boots, Chelsea boots, Timberland boots, beanies, and more! I hope this blog helps you understand autumn fashion styles in the U.S. Thank you for reading!
