This time, I’d like to focus on SANKEI’s original linings.
Founded in 1955, the company handles everything from secondary materials such as lining, interfacing, zippers, and buttons to outer fabrics, which are the main materials for clothing.
As a company handling apparel materials, it is the largest in scale, and it operates its own factories throughout Japan, centered on the "Mikuni Factory" and "Fukusen Factory" (both in Fukui Prefecture), which boast the largest domestic production scale as lining dyeing factories.
Overseas, it has production bases in China and ASEAN, and also has bases in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Bangladesh, and other locations.

Somebiyori polyester lining
This 1818 Somebiyori was SANKEI’s first original lining product.
It is a polyester taffeta lining characterized by its soft, supple texture, good color development, and calm luster.
The sample card also features an illustration of a noblewoman, giving it an atmosphere that sets it apart from other lining sample cards.
It comes in a very wide range of colors, so you are sure to find one that perfectly matches your outer fabric.
It has been a long-selling item, with total shipments to date reaching an amazing 410,000 km or more!
If you pieced it together, it would stretch to ten trips around the Earth, enough to reach the moon.

Soft tricot Suisenbiyori®
This knit lining has excellent anti-static properties, and even at humidity levels of 20% to 30% (during winter heating or dry conditions in spring and autumn), it delivers outstanding anti-static performance and suppresses static electricity.
It also has a low charge buildup from friction, so there is almost no unpleasant crackling when putting it on and taking it off.
It does not cling and creates a beautiful drape line.
During winter, Suisenbiyori will help prevent the skirt lining from sticking to you.
This mesh textile is made from 100% chemically recycled polyester.
With typical recycled polyester, sorted used PET bottles are used as the raw material, melted down, and spun back into thread.
In contrast, RENU® uses worn-out clothing and leftover textile from factory production as raw materials,
and by breaking them down and repolymerizing them, it can produce polyester that is no inferior in quality to petroleum-based polyester.

Cool polyester lining Siesta Se Dosso
This cool lining is recommended for the upcoming hot season, using two special filaments to create an unprecedentedly unique dry feel with firmness and resilience.
At first glance, it does not look like polyester, and has a smooth texture.
With a 15% stretch rate that sets it apart from conventional cool linings, it offers smoothness, luster, and an anti-sheer effect.
