A ripstop material inspired by the BDU combat utility uniform adopted by all branches of the U.S. military in 1981 and used until the Navy discontinued it in 2012. Made of cotton and nylon, it naturally offers excellent durability.
It may be well known to military enthusiasts, but this textile was analyzed down to the thread from deadstock items of the so-called BLACK357, which was produced for only one year in 1997, and you can really feel the maker’s strong attention to detail.
Military textiles are of course proposed by countless makers, but I don’t think there are many that present the item and period they referenced in this way.

This textile is based on the M-47 cargo pants adopted by the French military in 1947. As it was used for cargo pants, it has been finished as a thick, very durable textile.

This is herringbone twill. When it comes to military wear, functional textiles such as ripstop often come to mind, but in the 1940s, herringbone seems to have been widely used in the U.S. as well.
