The fine brushing creates a matte, understated sheen. Synthetic fibers have a uniform, refined look, while cotton has a natural, warm feel.
Lightweight feel (for synthetic fibers)
When based on polyester or nylon, the textile itself is lightweight and easy to handle, which is appealing.
Durability
Peach skin based on synthetic fibers is durable and resistant to wrinkles. On the other hand, cotton has moderate breathability and moisture absorption.
Disadvantages
Limits to warmth retention
Because it is a soft, lightweight textile, it may lack warmth in extremely cold environments. Since both synthetic and cotton versions have limited cold-weather protection on their own, they need to be reinforced with lining or quilt batting.
Weight (cotton)
Cotton is slightly heavier than synthetic fibers. For that reason, synthetic fibers are more suitable for items where lightweight performance is desired.
Cost differences
Cotton is often more expensive than synthetic fibers. Synthetic fibers are relatively inexpensive and suitable for mass production, but they may feel lacking for those who prefer the texture of natural materials.
