Hello. I’m Kimura from the ApparelX trend blog.
The days have been pleasantly warm and springlike, making this an exciting season for fashion.
Last year we introduced floral prints and flower motifs, which were also trends in 2025, and this year it looks like the trend of plant motifs derived from floral/botanical patterns will continue.
This time, while comparing them with past floral trends, we’ll introduce the botanical motifs for the 2026/27 trend!

What did you think? Thank you for reading to the end.
Personally, plant motifs have always been a theme I like, so I’m happy that the trend has made more cute items appear in the world and easier to find.
In recent years, the feeling that “floral patterns = only for spring” has been fading, and they seem to be increasingly recognized as year-round trend motifs that can express individuality, such as floral and plant motifs.
Also, while floral and botanical print textiles have been mainstream, more brands are incorporating botanical motifs into three-dimensional designs such as Jacquard textiles, embroidery, and quilting. In the 2026SS trend, sheerness such as sheer and organza is highlighted, and in the 2026-27AW trend, fabrics you’ll want to touch such as velour and cut Jacquard are being noted, so combining them with that in mind should help you capture the trend even more.
I hope this blog can serve as a reference for product planning for apparel companies and others. ApparelX has many other products listed as well, so please take a look!
