This is Choo from the ApparelX trend blog.
This time, I would like to introduce the 2026 trend textiles from KOMATSUWA TEXTILE, a company famous for natural fibers.
Komatsuwa Textile Co., Ltd. plans, develops, and sells textiles, and is a textile manufacturer that focuses on natural fibers, soft colors, and textile finishing.
Although it was founded in 2006, the company was originally established in July 2006 as a spin-off from its parent company, Komatsuwa Co., Ltd. (founded in 1955).
These are the distinctive features of the company.
At Komatsuwa Textile, we received trend information on new products from the exhibition held in April 2026!

1. Specifications: 138 cm (usable width 135 cm) x 24 m random length
2. Fabric weight: 156 g/㎡
3. Material: 100% cotton (strong twist)
Both warp and weft use 40-count strong-twist yarn, and it seems to be a textile with a focus on yarn in order to create a more natural washed look and a crisp texture that gives a cool feeling.
Because it is a popular textile, they are planning to add more colors!
When you actually look at it on the product page, the textile colors are very beautiful, and personally I like #2 saxe.

1. Specifications: 130 cm (usable width 125 cm) x 22 m random length
2. Fabric weight: 133 g/㎡
3. Material: 100% linen
Both warp and weft use 60-count linen, and this textile is made with a different texture from
This textile is also popular, so more colors will be added.
This is a thinner textile with a natural feel, a dry touch, and natural wrinkles that are very appealing.
There are still only a few colors, but if more natural colors are added, I think it will become even more popular for the spring/summer season.
*This product is not yet listed on ApparelX, so we will list it in the future.
This textile is quilted by a private artisan in Kyoto using an old-style quilt loom with slow movement to reduce tension.
To create texture, it uses a new finishing process (hanazurizome), and unlike
The new products seem to have been especially well received, but surprisingly, linen products were also popular.

1. Specifications: 140 cm (usable width 132 cm) x 22 m random length
2. Fabric weight: 231 gsm
3. Material: 100% linen
This textile is thick and has a vintage feel.
It has a variety of colors and some softness, and also has a canvas-like feel, so it can be used for many different items.

1. Specifications: 146 cm (usable width 142 cm) x 19~25 m random length
2. Fabric weight: 272 gsm
3. Material: 100% linen
This textile is thicker than KINANADAKI-3 introduced above.
It also has a vintage feel and a canvas-like texture.
It can also be used for pants and bags.
It has fewer colors than KINANADAKI-3, but there are also some colors that do not overlap, so
if you are looking for slightly more subdued colors, this textile is recommended.

1. Specifications: 138 cm (usable width 132 cm) x 23 m random length
2. Fabric weight: 200 gsm
3. Material: 100% linen
There are only black and natural, but the overall feel is very natural and the texture is also unique, so
even when used for items with simple designs, it can create an interesting atmosphere.
The natural wrinkled look is very lovely.

1. Specifications: 150 cm x 25 m random length (usable width 145 cm)
2. Material: 100% cotton
This textile has a different feel from the one introduced above.
Although it is a standard 30/1 cotton twill, it is processed with AZUMADAKI to give it a soft, voluminous texture.
There are many natural colors, and some have subtle differences, so I think it is easier to use.

1. Specifications: 135 cm x 25 m random length
2. Fabric weight: 142 gsm
3. Material: 100% cotton
This is a textile with very attractive yellow and brown tones.
Because it is thin, it is an easy-to-use textile for shirts and blouses in the spring/summer season.

1. Specifications: 143 cm x 25 m random length
2. Fabric weight: 187 gsm
3. Material: 100% cotton
Compared to the other textiles, this one is relatively darker and has many deep colors, making it an attractive textile with a calm atmosphere.
It also has a dry, natural wrinkle texture, so it is recommended for shirts and other items.
As an aside, the KOMATSUWA TEXTILE fabrics that are popular in Korea, which I handle, include
KINANADAKI-12(KINANADAKI-12), ORIHIMEDAKI-1(ORIHIMEDAKI-1), and KINANADAKI-22(KINANADAKI-22).
Not only domestically, but also overseas, the popular textiles differ by country, and it is interesting that each country’s trends and sensibilities are reflected.
What did you think? Thank you for reading to the end.
It is already summer season, and recently textiles with a natural, organic feel have been well received.
I hope this blog is helpful when you are looking for textiles.
