It's sewn into the mask. I don't know if it's the right way to use it, so it's at your own risk. (There's no glue on it, so it's probably okay.) I originally have house dust-related rhinitis, and when it's severe, it becomes like asthma. I've been wearing a gauze mask sewn with this non-woven fabric for about a year now, and I've had no problems at all. I've been washing and drying them in the washing machine and dryer, but they don't seem to be fading, and even gauze textile don't need ironing at all. I plan to dismantle the old mask and see how the non-woven fabric looks.
