Iron: Lightly rub Iron no Tomo once with a hot iron. This makes it slide more smoothly and prevents burnt-on starch and synthetic fabric sticking. Sewing machine: Run Iron no Tomo through the machine once with no fabric. It helps prevent thread breakage, needle breakage, skipped stitches, and fabric shifting, and makes feeding easier with any fabric. Knitting machine: If you rub the needle area with Iron no Tomo before use, the movement becomes smoother and it also helps prevent rust on the needles. Pin cushion: If you use Iron no Tomo on a pin cushion, the needles will not rust and carrying them will become easier.
