・What kind of product is this? This product is made using Kuraray Plastics' styrenic thermoplastic elastomer material “Aerneston®” and processed into tape form using our proprietary technology. ・What is styrenic? It is the most widely used plastic material for injection molding, a copolymer composed of polystyrene and polybutadiene. ・What does thermoplastic mean? It is a material that softens when heated and can be molded, and hardens when cooled. ・Where is it produced? It is produced with a strong commitment to quality at our own factory in Japan. ・What type of Aerneston® is used? The type used in Neo Rubber Tape is the elastic type. The product number is ST220, and it is a 0.2 mm thick mesh sheet. The color is almost transparent. ・What is the peel strength? As this is not a complete fusion, please evaluate it through advance testing appropriate for the product before use. We have our own standards for the peel strength of sew-free products. A stretch tape with minimal deterioration!

This product uses Arnston, developed by Kuraray Plastics, instead of polyurethane, which deteriorates over time, and bonds it to a soft-to-the-touch textile. It stretches in a unique way, and although it is soft, it has a firm rebound. It is not yet a widely used material, though it does have a track record with major sports brands, but since it does not deteriorate over time, how about replacing waist elastic with it so it can be used for a long time?

Can tassel finishing be applied to cords?
Tassel finishing is possible using cords. It can be done simply by untying the cord, or by attaching a separate thin cord to the cord end. Since this is manual processing, a separate quote is required. Please contact us via the support page for details.

What materials can be heat cut?
For synthetic fibers (polyester, nylon, acrylic, polypropylene, etc.), heat cutting is possible. For natural fibers (cotton, linen, silk, etc.), heat cutting cannot be used because they will burn or char, so only scissors cutting is possible. Even with synthetic fibers, extra-thick twist cord may not fuse properly, so please be careful.

What do 7×7 mm and 9×9 mm mean in the width notation for binder tape and knit tape?
This width specification has a groove in the center and is used by sandwiching textile, etc. In the case of 7×7 mm, it becomes 7 mm when folded in half.
Is it possible to specify an angled cut edge for heat cutting?
Angled cutting is possible, but since it is done by hand, there may be a deviation of a few degrees. Please specify 45° diagonally, etc. when placing your order.
Is it possible to have tape or cord cut one by one to the specified length?
Yes, that is possible. Please select either scissor cutting or heat cutting from the options on each product page and enter the quantity. Please write your desired length in the notes section at that time. Since cutting always results in some cutting loss, if the number of cuts is large, it may not be possible to cut all of them from the number of rolls you ordered. In that case, our order staff will contact you to confirm whether to cut as much as possible from the number of rolls ordered or to add more quantity.
