YZiP® (Y-zip) for jeans is a metal zipper that can handle wash processing such as one-wash finishing.
It uses red brass and nickel silver for the elements, and each element is made thicker than on a standard metal zipper to improve physical strength. Like standard metal zippers, it is available in a variety of colors based on surface treatment of the elements.
This is a size 3 close-end zipper with gold elements.
There are two types of tape: polyester (P tape) and cotton/polyester woven tape (CP tape, 3 colors).

Please use textile that has been washed and dried thoroughly. Can YZiP® CP tape (polyester interwoven) be arranged?

Gold and nickel silver only are available. Please indicate this in the remarks field. This will be factory processing. Tape color variations are CP501 (white) and J196 single yarn (jeans-style navy).

Will the elements of the coil zipper be removed before delivery?

If you select the delivery-priority (processing) option, the product will be delivered with the elements attached.
Please note that in the case of factory processing, the product will be delivered without the elements.

If you would like the elements removed for delivery-priority (processing), please write "Please remove the elements" in the order memo field.

Can DA2E be selected for an 8-size EXCELLA two way separator zipper?

For an 8-size EXCELLA two-way separating zipper, there is no DA2E specification for the lower slider, but it can be arranged if the upper slider is DA2E and the lower slider is DA1, etc.

Do you handle pull tabs for the Decorative Series, such as ZY02 and ZY13?

It is possible to arrange pull tabs for the decorative series. When placing your zipper order on the ApparelX product page, please write the desired pull tab in the remarks field. Pull tabs for the decorative series are basically factory processing.

Can you arrange an aluminum No. 4 metal zipper?

We’re sorry, but this item has been discontinued as of March 2022.

Do you carry open-end concealed zippers?

We apologize, but open-type concealed zippers were discontinued in all sizes as of March 2022, so
this item cannot be arranged.

Do you handle zippers longer than 100 cm or shorter than 20 cm?

Can be arranged. Please choose the closest length and enter the desired length in the remarks field.

Is it possible to arrange a zipper slider without the YKK EXCELLA logo?

Yes, it is possible. In that case, it will be factory processing only. If you note it in the memo field or remarks field when placing your order, we will arrange it for you.

I would like the zipper separately without the top stop. Is that possible to order?

Yes, that is possible. If you specify it in the remarks field when placing your order, we will arrange it for you. The unit price will be provided separately.

Can you arrange a zipper for reverse use?

Yes, we can. If you write it in the remarks field or memo field when placing your order, we will arrange the zipper for reverse use.

I’d like a left-insertion zipper. Is it possible to order one?

Yes, that is possible. For open-end zippers, the product number suffix is OR for right-side insertion and OL for left-side insertion. For two way separator zippers, the product number suffix is MR for right-side insertion and ML for left-side insertion.
At present, on ApparelX we only have product pages for right-side insertion items, so please place your order from the right-side insertion product page.

What color is the slider on the nickel silver metal zipper?

It is nickel-colored. Nickel silver has a slight yellow tint like a 500-yen coin, but nickel color is a whitish, bright silver color.

Can the slider color be changed?

Yes, it is possible. As a general rule, if nothing is specified, metal zippers come with sliders in the same color as the element, and other zippers come with sliders in the same color as the tape color.
(Sliders with an attached pull tab are available in metal color only.)
The slider color shown on the product page is for reference, so the color will vary depending on the zipper you order.
If you would like to change the slider color, please note it in the order memo.

Which slider should I choose if I want to attach a pull tab later?

Please choose a CA, ZA, ZF, or other slider that can be fitted with a pull tab afterward.
The difference between CA and ZA/ZF is whether a pull tab can be attached from the base or not.
Pull tabs are sold by various manufacturers, but the specifications determine whether they can be attached to CA or ZA, so please check carefully.
The color options for retrofit sliders are limited to metal colors only.

Is it possible to order only the slider for a YKK zipper?

Basically, we are unable to accept orders for sliders only, but it is possible to arrange them if they are ordered together with a chain zipper or used for a zipper previously purchased from APPARELX.
In that case, please contact us via the contact form on the Support Page with the type and size of the YKK zipper you purchased, the slider color, the slider product number, and the quantity. We will reply after confirmation.

I would like to order a two way separator zipper with different sliders on the top and bottom. How should I do that?

If you note the desired upper and lower sliders in the zipper memo field when placing your order, we will change them to the sliders you want and arrange the order accordingly.

How should I choose between sliders with locks and without locks?

You can determine this from the second letter of the slider product number.
“A” = automatic lock (the slider locks automatically when you let go of the pull tab, and unlocks when you pull the pull tab)
“F” = non-lock (a slider with no locking function, regardless of the position of the pull tab on the body)
“N” = notch lock (a notch is attached to the shoulder of the body, and it locks when opened by bringing the chain against the shoulder)
“W” = reversible (pull tabs are attached to the front and back, so it can be opened from either side)
“U” = reversible (an automatic slider with one pull tab that can move along the rotating rail and can be opened and closed from either the front or back.)

I selected Lead Time Priority (custom production), but what does custom length processing from longer stock mean?

As for zipper inventory, products other than 2CHC concealed zippers are not stocked in the exact length you specify. For made-to-order production, we can process a longer zipper to make it, which shortens the delivery time but increases the unit price. If you want it processed from longer stock and need it right away, please select "Delivery priority (higher unit price)."
