With an extremely high weave
density, this fabric has a very fine, moist texture and a thick, substantial feel. It is something you can only experience in high-end haku-kin-ji. This is clearly evident in its appearance as well, with an elegant, refined sheen that is not flashy. A simple bow tie of assured quality will make you a sophisticated adult. You will be well-dressed at any formal occasion, whether royal events, award ceremonies, high society gatherings, receptions, weddings, or concerts. This is a product we recommend with the utmost confidence and pride.
The haku-kin-ji used is woven in a small weaving workshop in
Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi Prefecture, one of Japan's leading
silk fabric production areas. Fujiyoshida is a historic production region with origins dating back to the Heian period. This land, with spring water from Mt. Fuji, has the clean water that is essential for good dyeing.
In the weaving process, Yamamoto's blended haku-kin-ji uses as many as 13,000 warp threads in a width of just 47 cm, and the weft uses 120-
denier yarn doubled and twisted to create an astonishingly thick 240-denier yarn.
By weaving slowly on shuttle looms, air is trapped in the fabric, creating a three-dimensional texture, and craftsmen constantly inspect it for any damage. Dyeing, spinning, warping, and weaving are all carried out by craftsmen under strict quality control, each working to create the best possible product for our customers.
